Beth Nelson is the Executive Director of the Savannah Area Film Office. Her responsibilities include promoting the Savannah area to the entertainment industry, serving as a liaison between film companies and local municipalities, providing assistance to production companies filming in the area, and supporting local crew and businesses. She has worked as a location manager for film, television, and commercials on many productions in the Savannah area and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the entertainment production industry. Beth has served on the Savannah Film Commission since 2012 and is a founding member of Savannah Women in Film and Television.
Entertainment Industry Liaison
Based in Los Angeles, Ralph Singleton is responsible for the marketing and selling of the Savannah region as a location for film, television and other productions. He is an award-winning producer of film and television and has worked on more than 40 motion pictures and two television series including Cagney & Lacey, for which he won an Emmy Award, Emmy Nomination, Humanitas Award and the Nancy Susan Reynolds Award. Some of his credits include: Because of Winn-Dixie, Murder at 1600, Supernova, Last Man Standing and Another 48 Hours.
Katie Schuck is a freelance filmmaker and producer with more than 10 years’ experience on feature films, commercials, studio television productions and nationally syndicated talk shows. As the location specialist for the Savannah Area Film Office, Katie promotes Savannah’s best locations to prospective productions. Although Katie is new to the film office, she is not new to Savannah, graduating in 2012 from SCAD with her MFA in Film and Television Production.
Film Administrative Assistant
Nikki Parenti graduated in 2014 with her BFA in Film and Television from the SCAD. She has a passion for production coordinating and has worked in offices for several studio and independent feature films. With a comprehensive knowledge of support services, local crew, production needs, locations, and Savannah’s incentive programs, she is the perfect gatekeeper of the film office.
Location Scout / Photographer
Andy Young has worked as a freelance location scout and location manager for feature films, commercials and still photography since 1994. Andy has simultaneously worked assisting the City of Savannah in attracting productions through location scouting and photography for 20 years. Andy studied art and photography at The University of the Arts and SCAD.
