The University’s campuses are considered by many to be among the most scenic and beautiful college campuses in the country. For Film Permits that involve the beach and the State of Georgia’s Shore Protection Act Jurisdiction, please contact Deborah Barrierio.  Please note, there is a mandatory 15 day notification period after the DNR approves your request.

Fort Pulaski National Monument

A Special Use Permit is required to conduct special events and activities at Fort Pulaski National Monument, such as commercial filming, photography, and Boy Scout & Girl Scout camping.

Certain special events are permitted on park grounds and inside the fort. However, no activity can interfere with the daily operation of the park or with the visiting public. No part of the fort or park grounds will be closed or reserved for such events.

All student permit applications must be accompanied by a description of the requisite project from the professor and the signed student confirmation form below.

Right-of-Way Permits for Movie & TV Production
A permit is required for all requested use of the right-of-way for film purposes. Permits are issued by District Traffic Operations section. If locations requested are in multiple Districts, a separate Permit must be issued for each District.

Savannah-Chatham County Public School System

Thank you for your interest in utilizing the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools facilities. In accordance with Board Policy EBH and EBH-R, the District encourages organizations considered educational, youth programs, civic/community service organizations, and private/for-profit companies to utilize the facilities.  Please visit our website to submit a facility rental request.

Savannah Hilton Head International Airport

All commercial filming, non-profit and student filming, videography, and commercial photography requests must be reviewed and approved by the Savannah Airport Commission. The permitting process requires a minimum of two weeks.

Certificate of Insurance should address Savannah Airport Commission as the loss payee.

Skidaway Island State Park

Applications can be submitted electronically to sam.cox@dnr.ga.gov  or can be submitted in person at the Skidaway Island State Park main office, located inside the park.
